What happens in episode 4

A Chou and Bi Tao hide Wu's body in a wardrobe, stage a scene for Lu Zhuo when he follows them at night, then drop the body down an abandoned well. Since Wu's valuables are gone too, everyone assumes she ran off.

Bored after a month in bed, Lu Zhuo agrees to the bride's traditional return visit to her family. Jun Dai, furious that he survived, smashes everything at the villa. Wei Heng'e promises to put her back in place.

In the carriage, Lu Zhuo notices calluses and scars on his wife's hands. In town, his friend Qi Zhongkai thinks she seems like a different person. Lu Zhuo also spreads a rumor about a captured enemy letter to flush out a spy.

At the Wei house, the old Madame touches A Chou's hand and realizes. Wei Heng'e and Guo Yufeng lure A Chou into a library and lock the door, and Jun Dai throws in a torch.
